Celebrating 75 Years of Art in Nature!
The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and The Lord and Lady Palumbo, Honorary Chairs, cordially invite you to an enchanting evening of Art in Nature celebrating Fallingwater's 75th Anniversary Saturday, the 17th of September at 6:00 in the evening.
Join us for an enchanting evening in a magical forest as we celebrate Fallingwater's 75th Anniversary. It promises to be a delight for all your senses; one you will not want to miss!
The Gala will begin at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and scrumptious hors d' oeuvres conjured up by the inimitable Robert Sendall. Refresh from your journey and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in two exhibitions at the Visitors Center - Kaufmann's: Meet Me Under the Clock and Design Competition: New Cottages at Fallingwater.
As you arrive at Fallingwater, "wood nymphs" from Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, like living sculpture, will adorn the landscape and building. You can appreciate Fallingwater - and the living sculpture - at your own pace as you meander through the house.
Next, an illuminated forest will serve as a backdrop to a fantastic feast al fresco under a clear tent in the meadow.
Finally, the dancers will return to lead you by "firefly" light back to the house for dessert and after-dinner drinks. There the night will be transformed by Luftwerk's immersive, electronic light-and-sound installation at Fallingwater. Interacting with sound, this amazing display will morph the facade of the building. Full of technical wizardry and visual dazzle, you are bound to enjoy the sensational effects.
