Itineraries

Make it a day…or longer! When planning your trip to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, plan to spend the entire day or longer with us in the Laurel Highlands.

Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Kentuck Knob. As your travel between the two homes stop in Ohiopyle for lunch at one of the local eateries. While there take a few moments to walk along the Great Allegheny Passage hike/bike trail and watch the rafters on the Youghiegheny River. Or hike one of the trails on Ferncliff Penisula in Ohiopyle State Park. At this National Natural Historic Landmark you find plants that you won’t see anywhere else in the world.

If history of a different type is more for you, Fort Necessity National Battlefield is just a short drive away along the National Road (US Route 40). Here you can experience George Washington’s first battle and the building of the highway that helped to shape a nation.

Also, bring along comfortable hiking shoes, and enjoy some of our 20 miles of outstanding trails at nearby Bear Run Nature Reserve.
