Fayette County Day
To thank the residents of Fayette County for their ongoing support of Fallingwater, free admission was available to Fayette County residents on Nov. 19. We welcomed 444 local residents to Fallingwater during our biannual Fayette County Appreciation Day.
Thanks to everyone who visited!
Fayette County residents had an important role in Fallingwater's history and remain actively involved in its ongoing preservation, interpretation and stewardship. Residents of the county helped to build the iconic home and numerous area residents now serve as staff or volunteers at the world-renowned house museum.
To thank the residents of Fayette County for their ongoing support of Fallingwater, free admission was available to Fayette County residents during Fallingwater’s biannual Fayette County Appreciation Day on Sunday, Nov. 19.
In addition to touring the house, visitors were invited to explore the latest exhibition in the Speyer Gallery called "Wright for Wright: The Experimental Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright's Homes." This exhibition commemorates Wright's legacy in honor of the 150th anniversary of his birth. Free educational activities were also offered throughout the day in the Hillman Education Pavilion, located behind the gallery.
